Wanted to share with you the blending tool holder my husband made for me for my birthday. I'm totally in love with it -- he's definitely a "keeper"!!!
We are two ordinary women (Frugal Fools) who love to use stamps to make cards and scrapbook pages. Like a lot of people we found ourselves spending too much money. There had to be a better way. In April of 2013 2 Frugal Fools was born. Our mission is to provide inexpensive gently used or often unused stamps to others. We carry an ever changing inventory of stamps. We aim to keep our prices low so everyone benefits. Our BLOG will share useful tips and techniques, and ideas using our stamps.

Embossing Folder organizer
I'm slowly trying to "organize" my scrapbook room and decided to start with my embossing folders. I've tried several ways to get these little buggers organized so I would know what I have and where they are located. Everything I've tried just hasn't seemed to work -- until now!!!!
I can't take the credit for this system as I saw this idea on Pinterest, but it was using a 7 Gypsies photo carousel. Unfortunately, 7 Gypsies no longer makes this item so I needed to come up with something similar. since I am converting my room over to a "steampunk" theme, I came up with this design and my very talented husband made this for me.

This is nothing more than a "roladex system". I used 4x5 cards and embossed the cards with my embossing folders. I used a "color code" system for each brand of folder: green - Anna Griffin; brown - Tim Holtz; white - Spellbinders, etc. Turns out, I have more Anna Griffin folders than I thought I had....
The base of the unit is a gear from some farm equipment with a pipe and a couple of elbow joints and a sprinkler head for the top.
A "Non-Steampunk" version is in the works and will be available for sale by 2 Frugal Fools in the near future. If you'd like to own one - just let me know.
