Birthday Card

Here's a birthday card for anyone who loves shoes (and what woman doesn't?)

On an off white sheet of card stock I stamped the image of the shoe with flowers and colored it with markers.  I stamped the image again on another sheet of off white card stock, colored it and cut out only the shoe.  Then I attached the cut out of the shoe on top the original shoe with pop dots.
On the flowers, leaves and ruffle on the shoe - I added glossy accents.

Then I took my ink distressing tool and inked all around the card.

Next, I stamped the flourish and used my trusty "quickie glue" pen to trace the image.  After the glue completely dried, I applied copper glitter.

I then added a green strip of ribbon to the bottom and attached the panel to the card base.

Stamped the birthday sentiment on a scrap of white card stock, cut it out and attached it and added a small green bow.

Get Well Card

This was a fun (and easy) card to make and hopefully would cheer up anyone who is sick.

First I cut a sheet of 12x12 card stock in half to end up with a 12x6 sheet.  Fold that in half and then fold the top portion in half.

Next I cut 2 panels of printed paper into 3 3/4 x 5 3/4 panels and attach those to the front of the card.

Since my "Nurse Ratchet" stamp was smaller than I wanted, I stamped her onto a sheet of paper and scanned her into my computer,re-sized her to the size I wanted and did a print and cut on my Silhoutte machine.  Then I did an "outline" of her and cut that out on green card stock.  After coloring Nurse Ratchet with pencils, I attached that to the green outline and then attached that to the front of the card (ONLY using adhesive on the bottom of her)

I stamped the "feeling icky" with brown ink and used a die cut to cut it out and attached that with pop dots.

For the inside of the card I lined it with the same printed paper.
I used a Spellbinders die to cut and emboss the label and then painted around the edge with gold "smooch" (one of my all time favorite things to use). Stamped the needle and feel better soon and after figuring out where to attach the label so when the card is opened it would stand up properly, I attached it with pop dots.

See.....I told you it was a fun and easy card to make!
Hope you'll make one of these stand up cards and e-mail me a photo of what you made.

Thank You Card

Here's a quick and easy THANK YOU card.
I attached a black sheet of card stock to the base of my card leaving just a slight border.

Stamped the "postcard" image in cream card stock and tore the edges.  Then I used Tim Holtz distressing ink and distressed the entire image and then attached it to the black card stock.

Then I stamped the label and die cut it and stamped the THANK YOU and attached that to the card.

I then stamped the ink bottle, cut it out and poked a small hole at the top with a needle and inserted a feather.  Then I used a pop dot to attach it to the card.

Male Birthday Card

Here's a card I made for the "man" in your life that's a Baseball fan.

First I took a piece of chocolate brown cardstock and embossed it.  I used the "debossed" side and traced the debossing with a gold metallic fine point marker.

Next, I used an Anna Griffin die and die cut the image on gold metallic cardstock and attached to the chocolate brown sheet.

Then I cut out the baseball card from a sheet of Graphic 45 paper (Good Ol' Sport Collection) and attached it to the card.  It still needed more so I searched the internet and found an image of a vintage baseball mit so I did a "print and cut" on my Silhoutte Cameo of the entire mit and then a second one of just the baseball.  I attached the baseball onto the mit with a pop dot to give it some dimension.

Finally, I made the Happy Birthday banner on my Silhoutte and attached that with pop dots and then attached the brown cardstock to the base of my card with pop dots.

I have certainly been neglecting this BLOG and I apologize.  Things have been pretty darn busy for the "FOOLS" between selling and buying.  Now that summer has come to an end it looks like things might be slowing down and I'll have time to update this BLOG.

If you haven't visited our FACEBOOK page then you're not aware of some of the items we have for sale.  When I originally created this BLOG I had posted stamps for sale to this page, but it just wasn't working out since I couldn't have separate pages for items.  So, with that being said, I decided to remove all items for sale from the BLOG and post them on our Facebook page.  I have created separate albums (Stampin Up; Stamps; Punches) where I have placed the items for sale.  My goal is to get ALL our stamps posted in the next few months.  We have many!!!! At the present, I'm guessing we have close to 400 Stampin Up sets and hundreds of single stamps!!!  WOW - that's alot........
So, if you haven't been over to our Facebook page - please check it out.

Finally, I would love to hear from all of you as to what you would like to see posted here.  Would you like to see ideas for cards?  Techniques?

Until next time -- happy stamping.

Christmas Cards

Here are 2 Christmas Cards I've made for a Holiday Card Making Party.

This card will show you all about laying die cuts and using the debossed portions of a die cut.

This card will show you how to use the negative space from your die cut and then emboss it and insert a frame; coloring with pencils and using "gamsol"; applying glitter and using liquid applique.

If you would like to host a CARD MAKING PARTY all you need to do is contact either Karen at frugalfoolk@gmail.com  or me (Pam) at frugalfoolp@gmail.com for all the details.  There is NO COST to you as a hostess and we do not try to sell products to your guest -- just a fun time making cards and learning new techniques.
